The
Loving
Leverage
Podcast
from addiction to connection
with Drew Powell
Presented by Valiant Living
The idea
Loving Leverage is the framework created by Michael Dinneen, founder of Valiant Living. This show carries it into conversation with thought leaders, betrayed partners, clinicians, and alumni. At some point in every story, love was the leverage that moved someone to get well.
Love does not push a man into recovery. It gives him a place to stand and something worth rising toward.
About the host
Recovery Advocate · Valiant Alumnus
Drew hosts this show from the far side of the story it tells. He's an alumnus of Valiant Living, a husband and father of four, and a man whose recovery began the way so many do: with people who loved him refusing to pretend everything was fine.
Today he leads Valiant's alumni community and tells the stories of men and families walking from addiction back to connection. He asks the questions a worried spouse, a scared parent, and a struggling man are actually asking, because not long ago he needed the answers himself.
Who this show is for
Spouses, parents, and family members holding a hard truth and looking for a way to use love as leverage instead of a bargaining chip.
Men in recovery, or circling it, who want honest stories from people who have walked from addiction back to connection.
Clinicians, therapists, and treatment professionals walking alongside families, looking for language and frameworks that hold up in the room.
