Level of care · Living independently
The last formal level of the arc, and the quiet proof of all the others: a man living his own life, keeping his own commitments, and still choosing the work, the community, and the honesty that got him here.
Who this level is for
By outpatient, a man is home, or in his own place, back at work, back in the daily life he's rebuilding. Therapy continues with the team that knows him. The recovery community and 12 step rhythm built through IOP keep their place in the week. The scaffolding comes down one piece at a time, on evidence, while case management keeps the aftercare plan honest.
And because the alumni brotherhood was built into every level before this one, the handoff at the end isn't a goodbye. It's a change of role: from the man being walked with, to the man who walks with the next one.
Straight answers
Men finishing the arc: living independently again, back at work and at home, with the recovery structure internalized enough that the scaffolding can keep coming down. For a smaller number of men with strong stability and support, outpatient is where treatment begins; an honest assessment tells us which situation is which.
Ongoing therapy with the same clinical team, continued connection to the recovery community and 12 step work built during IOP, and the alumni brotherhood already in place. The intensity tapers on evidence, not on a calendar, and case management keeps the aftercare plan honest the whole way.
Yes, foundationally. Many of the men we treat are professionals with careers, licenses, and reputations to protect, and the program is built accordingly. The first call is confidential too, whether it comes from you or from someone who loves you.
Valiant Living is primarily a private pay program, which is what allows us to run the level of clinical care and staff ratios we do. We're out of network with most insurance companies, but we work directly with them on your behalf to maximize whatever coverage is possible. A confidential call is the fastest way to an honest answer about your situation.
The program has an end date. The life it builds doesn't.
